This doctor owned accredited busy family practice has a strong focus on quality patient care. Our supportive administration and dedicated staff  Sheleen, Lynda, Tasha, Fiona, Lilian and Satvir provide friendly medical services of exceptional quality.

Eastern Victoria GP Training

Our practice is an accredited training practice providing Medical Registrars with practice based supervision and teaching. All Medical Registrars are given every opportunity to access all resources provided by the practice to satisfactorily complete their training.

University of Melbourne Doctor of Medicine (MD) General Practice Rotation

Our practice accepts medical students for the purpose of undertaking vocational placement. This is an opportunity for students to gain relevant vocational training and skills within a workplace setting relating to their area of study.

FEES

All patients on presentation of a valid Medicare card will be bulk billed.   Some consultations are unable to be bulk billed so a private account will be generated and must be settled on the day of the appointment.  These include: some medical procedures,   TAC and Work Cover (without claim numbers), commercial vehicle licenses, pre-employment medicals, services to people not covered by Medicare, walk-in patients without an appointment, etc.   Please ask the receptionist for current fees for non-bulk billed consultations.

APPOINTMENTS

In order to reduce waiting time, patients are requested to make an appointment, request longer appointments for multiple or complex issues and  arrive earlier than their appointment times for new patients. Please inform the reception staff if an appointment is no longer required, so we can re-allocate this time to another patient.  A fee may be charged for non-attendance if no notice is given.

WAITING TIMES

Although we try to keep waiting times to a minimum, delays are sometimes unavoidable. Your understanding is appreciated.

MEDICAL REPORTS

If you require your Doctor to complete a Medical Report for insurance, employment, driving, or travel consultations, etc., please be advised that a private fee will apply.   For prices please speak to reception.

CLINIC PRIVACY POLICY – Our Doctors and Staff are committed to giving you quality care and service.   Your Medical Record is a confidential document.  It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.      We abide by the ten National Privacy Principals available at   www.privacy.gov.au/health/index.html

TEST RESULTS

All patients referred for pathology / radiology / other tests need to make an appointment to obtain their test results.   Due to privacy laws we are unable to give results over the telephone.

PLEASE SCHEDULE A FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR TO OBTAIN YOUR RESULTS.

HOME VISITS

Home visits are available for our regular patients living within a reasonable distance of the clinic whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery.  Current patients who need to see a doctor outside our consulting times are able to contact our after-hours Locum service - Doctor Doctor - on Phone 13 26 60.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS / MEDICAL CERTIFICATES / REFERRALS

In order to comply with current health care regulations and best practice procedures , an appointment is necessary to review a medical condition prior to the issuing of repeat prescriptions , medical certificates or ongoing referrals. Please schedule an appointment to see your Doctor.

AFTERCARE

If you have had a procedure done elsewhere you should return to the medical facility for follow up as this fee would already be included in the procedure.  If you do return here for follow up after a procedure done elsewhere, a private  fee which will be charged as this is not covered by Medicare.

TELEPHONING YOUR DOCTOR

Should you need to contact your Doctor, please telephone during clinic hours.   A message will be taken if the Doctor concerned is with another patient or unavailable.

REMINDERS

Our practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care.   If you do not wish to be part of this system please let your Doctor or reception know.

RECALLS

Recall letters are generated through our computerised system when immunisation, PAP, preventative care, etc., fall due.   Please inform your Doctor if you do not wish to be placed on the system for recalls.
