After many years of country General Practice, the last 6 of which were spent solely in pain management, Dr Horwood is now working part time at Greater Knox Family Practice.
“My interest remains in all aspects of pain management with a particular emphasis on what measures might help each person enjoy the best quality of life possible in ways that are safe. I’d summarise this as living well despite pain rather than eliminating pain. I work closely with Allied Health practitioners and others who can contribute their skills to achieve your quality-of-life goal
I graduated from Monash University in 2021 and after completing my hospital years at Eastern Health I have learnt that my passion lies within General Practice. I strive to make all patients feel comfortable and listened to, addressing all aspects of your health including mental, emotional and physical. I am particularly interested in women’s health addressing concerns from adolescence to post menopausal. Outside of work I enjoy going on hikes, baking and painting!
